Certain days they’re more spectacular than usual … when it’s been foggy and damp all day, like it was this last Monday.
Fundy Fog was extremely dense all day. The rest of the province was under an excessive heat warning, but not us here.
Gerry’s son, Kevin, was driving down here from Quebec City on that day. He said all the way down to, around Westfield (which is just a bit outside town), it was sunny and hot. Then he drove into the fog.
This is the reason why people, in old times, built their summer camps up river, even though they lived right at the ocean. Even though I, myself, am perfectly happy with the way it is, I can see how they … kids in particular … would want to have some fun in the sun. That’s not always possible here.
For now, the dampness is gone out of the air … clear skies, not a cloud in sight. The humidity does something to you — it takes all energy out of your body. I was so tired all day yesterday, for no good reason at all — could hardly stay awake. Today, things are looking up again 🙂.
