Easy Writing

Last night, I wrote a blog post as my cat! Not here, in my ‘regular’ blog. That was fun, but kind of strange; Wrote close to 900 words in no time, and I could’ve just kept on going. Don’t think I’ve ever written that long «as myself», so to speak.deer_rwp Well, perhaps in the beginning of blogging, when I didn’t really care what people might think.

Went to the park on Sunday. Was hoping to shoot some nice duck photos but the snowbanks are so high around the pond, I couldn’t really get there. Besides, they were being fed … several cars lined up, so they were all gathered around there.

All over the park, there was an abundance of food … which is nice to see. Difficult for the deer to find something to eat when the snow is this deep.

All the squirrels looked extremely well fed! 🙂 Even the chickadees are beginning to look chubby!

It feels peaceful, just to hang around there, in the park.

squirrel_rwpA female American Black Duck had wandered off from the pond and was hanging around in the part where the squirrel feeders are [that’s not exactly close]. I was so surprised seeing her, there in the woods.

        1. Yes, and I think it was something about writing ‘as someone else’…

I find that the older I get, the longer it seems to take to recover fully, after a bad cold.

          1. It is easier to write as someone else; even the cat Rebby! I find the words flow better also.
I am now on day 5 of the FLU. Still headachey but sinuses are clearer (than you neti Pot & Medi Rinse) 😉
Still somewhat feverish…..so staying in. It turned quite cold again so why go out? Tomorrow I WILL go down to corner shop for milk & a few other things. Hopefully I kick this over the weekend so I can continue living my Life & get to appts etc. OY VEY!

            1. I thought of you when I got up this morning, because I was sure I was going to get it too! Now I’m not so sure … can feel that my immune defence is fighting, jury is still out. The son has left, gone back to QC. We’re staying at home today, I might even have a snooze with McDuff. It’s only when I go to bed in the afternoon that he comes with! He has his own ideas, that’s for sure … he’d never come with at night 🙂

              1. I hope you dodge the Flu…it is very very nasty & painful. It seems alot of these so called ‘Flu’s’ are turning Bacterial: Bronchitis, Pneumonia….that sort of think. I want to avod anyof that!
I think a ‘happy nappy’ wit McDuff is a great idea.
Siddhartha Henry is not a snuggly napper at all. He does pop in for short visits tho’.
I miss when Mingflower would lie along my legs (whether i was on back or stomach). Those were the days 😉

                1. I doubt it would be the flu … doesn’t that have a very quick onset? Whatever this is, it’s slow.

When he was younger, he used to snuggle up behind me knees, when we took those naps, but not anymore. None of my cats have been really snuggly — like the ones you see on TV in the commercials..

      1. I found this Flu was rather sneaky. I felt ‘off’ on Thursday (a week ago) & all right Fri. & Sat. & then Sunday not quite right & listless & finally Monday the fever & sinuses & headache came on.
My friend Mary who came to visit a week ago Wed said she ‘had a virus; not the Flu’…& I have no felt right since!I just want it gone! PERIOD!
Oh Mingflower snuggled behind my knees too & Nylableu did sometimes. She used to love lying in between my legs UNDER the blankets. So far Siddhartha snuggles for maybe 10 mintues. And I was told boys are more mushy & affectionate…..not sure about that at all?!?!!?

        1. This has been going on for several days, but didn’t reach my level of consciousness until today. I’ve been much more tired than usual, strange headaches, listless is a good word. Also inexplicable sweating on and off. Hope it breaks out fully, instead of going on like this.

Murphy, who was a very demanding cat, used to lie on top of my chest until it got too warm. He was possessive too, if I had a visitor he got totally impossible. Like when G. came to visit me, Murphy HAD to be in between us on the couch! He’d never shown that before, but I hadn’t been sitting with anyone that way..

          1. Umm Rebby you HAVE “IT”! Totally. Supposedly it is NOT the “FLU” but a ‘virus’…What that means is anyone’s guess. There is such a thing as Non Influenza type virus & this is how it presents.
It can linger for days or come to a head withing 3-4 days. Congrats! 😉
Murphy sounds alot like Mingflower & Nylablue…always lying on me & ALWAYS sitting beside me when anyone came to visit!!! Siddhartha Henry does not do that at this point…some day I hope he will….

  2. Love the photos!! 🙂 And I can tell you still have a lot of snow left just watching them. All gone here! It did snow just a few flurries yesterday but it wasn’t much at all and it melted right away. Coming weekend they’ve said it can be up to 15c!!

I really enjoyed your post from McDuff!! 😀

    1. This was a long and drawn out Winter here. People from here, say they haven’t seen anything like it since 1992. There’s a lot that has to melt and there will be a Spring thaw rarely seen.

It was so much fun to write as somebody else, even though it was a cat LOL

      1. Can understand it will take a whie with all that snow, to melt away…

        he he I can imagine!

Not sure one can compare really, but when I do my challenge videos and I use a wig and dress up, it is also a bit fun as I can be so totally different from my natural me lol.

        1. Boo … that’s too bad! As things stand today, it has turned into what I think is called a ‘head cold’! The headache, stuffiness, there’s like a river in my nose, but no respiratory stuff. Yuck! It comes and goes in waves, I think I’m running a fever..

  3. Did not get out shopping either; was still terribly sick?
    Seriously messed up…
However today (Sunday) I have felt better all day & it is almost 6 pm so fingers crossed I am FINALLY on the mend.
If you are running a fever it is not a head cold…fever means you have a Flue virus of some sort. All I know is I am sad you are unwell & I am praying for you to get over this ASAP!

We have sprung forward so it feels a little strange that it’s already 7PM. My new clock radio adjusted itself … great stuff! 🙂

      1. Just after 6 p.m. here & I am thinking the same thing…mind you I FORGOT to set the clocks last nite. Now I usually do them the next morning but totally forgot. The woman on the radio was saying it was the ‘Noon’ news & I was like “No it is 11 A.M. isn’t it??” boy did I fee silly! The only clock that reset on its own was on laptop. I had to do all others manually.
        So that is sorted!
I will pray you are better tomorrow so you can go out. I was supposed to go to Wal-Mart yesterday but felt awful; so am going to try for Wednesday…

        1. What is worse is that I have a wall calendar, here beside me … from Canadian Wildlife. It’s MARCH now, and not until now have I noticed it’s last year’s ROFLMAO!!! Somewhere in the back of my mind, I’d been thinking it was a little weird with the full moon, but it was not until we talked about Purim I discovered. Netanyahu mentioned in the beginning of his speech, that ‘Purim starts tomorrow’, but in my calendar it said the 16th LOL Then I saw … 2014!!! 😀
